The only thing I've noticed about monitor being 'system' dependent is
it doesn't work on our 310's no matter what.  (Not that I think anybody
in their right mind should use a 310... :-)  I've taken it and run it
on a variety of configurations of a 350 and 330's, and it works like a champ.
(Except when some lunkhead (who shall remain nameless) recompiled the kernel,
and then didn't reboot, so monitor was getting some garbage when trying to
read kernel memory).

No matter what, monitor is a great program, should become supported software,
and in a perfect world, source should be freely available, so those of us
who aren't in the know, can find all the great tricks this program must use.


On a related matter...  Does anybody know how to make monitor under 6.0 
display more than 4 disks in the I and G options?  I have a disk entirely
devoted to swapping, and it always shows up first, even though it's
rarely used.
