Although both programs have their flaws, I found Word easier to learn and use. Plus, mouse support is built in. WordPerfect is very function-key oriented, which makes it a bitch to learn unless you want to stick templates all over your keyboard. Once you learn it, I guess it's not so bad, but then that's true of any program.
