I have heard that the problem comes about if a document is
spell-checked and corrected in Word 4.0, and then later imported
into 5.0.   I don't think there are any problems with 5.0, which
is probably what you have if you just bought it.  If you have
4.0, you can upgrade, possible without charge.

There is a work-around for the problem.  I don't remember it
right off hand.
