Is there anybody who has a version of Knuth's MeTaFont working with X-windows
version 1.1 ? I compiled the metafont that was supplied with TeX 2.93,
but could not get the 'showit' facility working (it's supposed to draw
your character on the screen or in a seperate window). The TeX distribution
contains some info about X11 compatibility, but is not very clear, so if
somone already has a correctly working MeTaFont with display capabilities
for X10 or X11, please email me.
