FDHD disk drive bites the dust. I have a hard disk (third party MicroTech with a FIVE YEAR WARRANTEE) so the floppy was used very infrequently. The whining of the floppy drive's stepper motor is so annoying I disconnected the power/data cable from the drive. "A fool and his money are soon parted." I guess the shoe fits.
