Are the MIPS boxes really cheaper than equiv. DEC boxes? The DECstation 3100
uses the R2000 chipset. I belive it's a little slower than the equiv. MIPS
boxes because of cache design ( or so I was told ). But I had thought the
DECstation was cheaper. Was this before or after discounts?
