I have recently started reading this news group, and am thinking about buying a NeXT. I have a question, though, about removable storage media. While I have no qualms about the idea of the optical disk being my main storage device, it would be nice to be able to trade data with (non-network) machines lacking optical drives. Since there are SCSI ports available, I assume that I should be able to hook any SCSI drive to the cube. So, my questions: Has anyone attached a 1.4M (3.5 in) disk drive to a NeXT? Has anyone been able to, say, read Mac disks (if extra software is necessary, what do you use?) on the NeXT, or write disks which a Mac can read? Thanks ahead of time for any information you might have to share, John Burke -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ana Ng and I are getting old and we still haven't walked in the glow of each others majestic presence...
