One of the managers here at Delta claims that he had recently heard of a
program (possibly with hardware) that would send and receive FAX's
directly on a Sun workstation.  He thinks that it might even be in the
public domain.

Anyone out there in user land heard of such an animal?  Please e-mail
responses, and I will summarize for the net.  (Please don't post requests
for the summary.  If you would like a copy of the summary e-mailed to you,
then send me E-MAIL requesting the summary.  Let's try to keep the
bandwidth down on c.s.s as much as possible.)
