I read comp.text regularly in USENET ... and I am hoping that you can provide
some help with a problem that I am having locating some [nt]roff macros ...

In May of 1988, Steve Ring of Compugraphic Corp., Wilmington, Mass,
posted an offer, in the comp.text newsgroup, to post "a comprehensive
set of -ms macros that do automatic table of contents generation".
Along with his offer, he posted the man pages for his macro package.

Then, as (un)luck would have it, a news feed upstream went dead for a couple
of weeks! So we missed the posting of the actual macros.

I tried to contact Steve Ring via email -- got "unknown user" error. So I tried
telephoning Compugraphic -- only to be told that "he no longer works here".
I sent paper mail, hoping that it would be forwarded ... but no luck.

I am hoping to find someone that saved the macros and would be willing
to email them to me.
