The documentation on metafont that comes with the TeX dist. is not
complete (just a readme file). In particular, it is not clear how
to make a set of pk files for white write devices. The readme file
on white write devices gives a few hints, but it is not clear how
to apply them. Would somebody please comment on how to generate
pk files for white write devices. I guess it involves using
commands like: mf "\mode=write_white; mag=1.22; input cmr10", but
I'm not sure...
