Has anyone translated Microsoft Word documents into troff format?

We have a few documents that were originally created with Microsoft
Word 5.x. We would like to continue to support them on our Unix
system. 

SCO allegedly markets Word 3.x for Xenix. But we run ISC 386/ix (2.0.2),
and SCO would not tell me if Word would work for us. We would like to
use Word, but it seems as though we cannot.

Any suggestions?
