I recently "inherited" a set of AT&T Unix V.2 for the 6300+ PC. The owner never installed it on his 6300+. My question is: can this set of software be used on ANY IBM PC/AT compatibles? What I am really worried about is the windowing system, which seems to use AT&T's own 640X400 standard, and the memory management system, which I am worried it does not like standard PC/AT extended memory. I looked through the manual and there were no mention of compatibility with other PC's. Also, I don't have the installation guide. Can someone tell me how to install it? From guesswork I figured you need to have at least 10MB of disk partition for non-DOS OS, and boot up the system with the Fundemental Set disk #1. Is that correct? Any answers will be greately appreciated. Please E-Mail all replies to me (ngeow@cs.bu.edu). Thanks in advance. Yee K. Ngeow
