Lines: 26 Does anyone have any procedures or programs for converting an X window dump to something that can be read in by something on the Mac? I tried taking the output of xwd | xpr -device ps and doing various things to it. I even edited the file to have an EPSF-type header, changed the filetype on the Mac, etc., and tried a number of applications on it. The best I was able to do was to convince Persuasion to read it into a slide, but it was (of course) rotated 90 degrees and therefore didn't fit on the page. What I really want is to get it into a paint or draw style format so I can manipulate it and included it in a document. I was trying for a Q&D solution by using postscript, but a more generally useful solution would be a conversion of the xwd output into MacPaint bitmap format. I once had a description of MacPaint bitmap format; if there aren't already converters from xwd to the Mac, maybe someone could supply the MacPaint bitmap format (or at least a reference to where it could be found)?.
