Whats needed? Message-ID: <663@sjfc.UUCP> Date: 11 Oct 89 00:44:36 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: St. John Fisher College, Rochester, NY Lines: 19 Hello- A simple question from a novice user. Is there x-windows software available for 4.3 BSD UNIX running on a VAX 11/785? When I say software, I mean the whole starter package. I got a glimpse of x-windows this summer as the sysops were installing in on system V at work. My college is asking us for advice on improvements to the system, so I am investingating this possibility. So who provides the software and for how much? What kind of terminals are needed and how much do they run (non-color ones)? Are there public domain equivalents to the x-windows software available? Thanks for your help....please e-mail your replies! --Ken Staggers St John Fisher College (...!rutgers!rochester!cci632!sjfc!kes3200)
