The target of the compiler would be 386 protected mode (naturally not MSDOS, but a standalone environment such as might be used to develop an OS.). The idea would be to compile under MSDOS and then boot the executable image. I do not own a UNIX flavor OS for the machine, so I am forced to use MSDOS.
