Sometime ago i learned electronics in the Army, not much but a little.
One of the things we learned were sayings to help learn the resistor
color code system. I only remeber part of one, something like 
"bad booze rots our young guts ....". Does anyone know the rest of this
or another ones? Are there any 'clean' ones?
