We are running a product called "LAN Workplace - Network software for SCO Xenix/386" (also available for non-386 processors), from EXCELAN. It seems to support TCP/IP properly (we are connected to two large systems via TCP/IP), and provides the ARPA/Berkely services (including telnet, etc. with a few minor exceptions). (See next part...) >2) Where is a good place to get ethernet cards? We use the EXCELAN EXOS 205T (or E?) card in our 386 machine (AT bus). I have had no problems with the card, which has been in use for about 4 months now. Nice thing is that the card came bundled with the above-mentioned LAN Workplace software!! This was the only source that I could find which provided both the TCP/IP software _and_ the LAN ethernet card from one manufacturer. (I feel that I'll get better support this way). Many dealers carry Excelan products (Excelan is owned by Novell). Installation was easy, and the documentation is very good! What more can I say? I'm happy! -- +-----------------------------------------------+-------------------------+ | Hershel Belkin hp9000/825(HP-UX)| ...!{lsuc}!teecs!belkin | | Test Equipment Engineering Computing Services | Phone: 416 246-2647 | | Litton Systems Canada Limited (Toronto) | FAX: 416 246-5233 | +-----------------------------------------------+-------------------------+
