Has anyone got the HST working well with UUCP?

I've tried everything - yet the best UUCP transfer speeds are around
400 cps - yet using Zmodem I get 1560 cps -

Also - USR is selling the HST for $260 and the dual standard for
$560 with a limit of 2 to members of their "dealer program".

It appears that the PEP is they ONLY way to go with UUCP.
