Tech-Source, Inc. has a single 9U VMEbus board which will drive the Sony 2k x 2k color display. The Sony is a large 28 inch diagonal tube 20 x 20 square format. It weighs in at 225 lbs. The Tech-Source GDS-395x series controllers have drivers for use with Sun Microsystems Sun-3/xxx and Sun-4/xxx systems with VMEbus slots. They also have drivers for X11R3 and Pixrect/SunView. Both software packages run *very* fast since the controller is a combination frame buffer and X-GDP (Tech-Source's X windows Graphics Drawing Processor used in their 1280x1024 products).
