Its the new file system available for use on OS/2 V1.2...among other things, it breaks the 8.3 character DOS file name limits, and is supposed to be significantly faster. OS/2 is supposed to eventually evolve into having a modular file system, where a single system could have DOS partitions, HPFS partitions, UN*X partitions, and so forth, all in the same system, with the internal differences being hidden from the applications (as I understand it). Anyone know the nitty gritty on HPFS??? --Mike Primm
