I am interested in what anyone can tell me about the potential use of DAT
for storage of computer data.
Some questions:

Are there any DAT-based disk backup devices in the works or for sale?

Are DAT drives potentially portable and battery operable?  I.e. could one be
used as a remote data logger, running on battery power for a day or so?
