Yes, I know it will work with a II, IIx, and IIcx without the video board. This is because Timbuktu recognizes that there is no video board and allocates memory for the video image using it's SoftScreen routine. The question had to do only with the IIci, since it functionally has a video board without RAM on the motherboard, and doesn't allocate the RAM for it unless it detects a physical monitor attached to the port.
