The "% hack" is ugly, difficult to parse correctly at Internet--othernet gateways, and not needed. Funny, thats exactly how I (and lots of others) have been describing the rfc822 source routing. I assure you that the rfc822 source routing is MUCH more difficult to parse that the % hack.
