Biology Lines: 12 I think you have it backwards. Source routing MUST NOT be specified in an RCPT command. MUAs MAY circumvent source routing but MUST NOT produce a 5xx error on receipt of a route addr (cf. RFC 1123 section 5.2.6). The only way that compliant implementations must change is that they may not send route addrs. The goal here is to phase out source routing. The belief was that we should simply not go from a MUST to a MUST NOT state on its handling, or we'd have mail bouncing all over the place. -- Eliot Lear [lear@net.bio.net]
