We learned from IBM that they only support an ethernet adapter from Ungermann-Bass, in the machine however we have one from 3COM (Etherlink/MC or 3C523), because it otherwise belongs to a local PC-Net with 3COM net software. Does anybody know if it is possible to get an ethernet driver for AIX either from 3COM direct or from some other source? I know that it would be best to ask 3COM themselves, but I have also difficulties to find a technical support person from that company over here in Germany.
