When I re-initialize a floppy in my second drive (CA880) I sometimes have trouble accessing it. I can't seem to create a directory on it unless I also copy files into the new directory. I can't seem to copy Disk.info icon files to the new disk either. The drive access LED comes on briefly, but when I remove the disk (after the LED is out) and re-insert it the files copied or directories created are not there. This only happens with single files like Disk.info or when I create a new directory, as I said above. I also get this kind of performance when I use the Iconed tool from DOS1.3. First: Is this the way it's supposed to work? Second: What are possible problems? (e.g. bad floppy, bad disk-drive, virus) I'd greatly appreciate any replies to "santerel@grad1.cis.upenn.edu". Thanks in advance.
