I picked up an issue of the Transactor for the Amiga in
a computer store once, liked it, and decided to subscribe
and order all the back issues they had available.  I must
admit, I was confused when the items (sub, backissues) came
quite sporadically and out of order, but, everything 
I paid for arrived as ordered.

I certainly hope that a magazine of the technical quality
such as theirs gets some good publishing management.
