I've had batches of 100 black disks that had no more than 1 or 2 bad ones. Then again, I had a batch of 50 blue disks with a 50% failure rate (you could even see grooves on the surface of the media). Save all those bad disks. All you need do is call MEI, tell them how many went sour and they will send you replacements pronto. They let you throw out the bad ones yourself. Oh, btw- more bad news. I've been getting the same MEI disks lately for $.49 each by using catalog number CAT11. The expiration date is 12/15/89 (although the operators have told me the expiration dates don't always count, it's just there incase they need to REALLY enforce it due to shortages or somesuch) Joel
