However, when I plugged my RGB cable into it, the sound to my Sony 1311 monitor disappeared and was replaced with TV audio. After dissecting the RGB cable and looking at the 2300 circuitry and circuit diagram, I discovered that Commodore failed to provide +5VDC to pin 23 of the 2300's RGB port. The 1311 requires +5VDC to drive the audio section when in mode (front panel switch). +5VDC is normally supplied on pin 23 of the 2000's RGB port. I suspect other monitors require a similar voltage. A couple dabs of solder to add a jumper on the 2300 solved my problem. -Paul
