I think the 90 day warranty has more to do with the fact that Commodore is trying to run as tight a ship as possible that with the fact that the hardware is likely to fail. IBM, being more concerned about selling to businesses and so on, can afford the few extra bucks they will have to pay during those nine extra months a lot more that Commodore can. I am still of the opinion, however, that if it works for a month, it will work forever (and except for acts of God this has proven to be true for all the solid state equipment I have bought). -- James A.
