Actually, the original name of the company conceived by the doctors was
to convey a feeling of high technology, and was "Hi-Toro" (I'm not sure
about the spelling).  Sounds like a new lawn mower, doesn't it.

Hope y'all find them amusing on their own merits, and not as a

Not at all.  They layed off the staff in three major purges (the last
being the final closure of the site).  I must commend to you the
personel integrity of Jay Miner, more a man than a manager, who was
unwilling to string along folks that he knew were going to be axed when
their usefulness was over.  It was not painless, but it was clean.

Note that there's a lot of stuff in this article that's not wrong, just
obsolete.  I thought it was fun to read.  I *had* to mention "Hi-Toro"
though -- it's such a bad name I'm surprised =RJ= didn't mention it.
