The thing works great by itself, but he has also an AX2000 Comspec 2 meg ram board with passthrough and if the drive is plugged in the ax2000 well the system won't go pass loading kickstart, reseting near the workbench prompt and cycling there.. seems to be an incompatibility problem with the auto config stuff between the 2 devices.. Of course, if we jump lines 11 (?) and 12 (CONFIG) of the expansion port (thus not given to the comspec) the drive boots, but with no memory. He has called Comspec tech support and was told that their card is totally transparent and to go yell at cbm for that. Would it simply be that the a590 doesn't like to be second in line? could the problem be corrected somehow, or should he sell his ax2000 and get 2 meg of ram chips to put in the A590? -- +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Sebastien Roy "The Naplps guy..." | | Projet interface systemes experts-naplps..
