Message-ID: <452@contex.UUCP> Date: 18 Oct 89 18:28:30 GMT References: <1989Oct17.173236.1876@ccu.umanitoba.ca> Organization: Xyvision Design Systems, Wakefield MA Lines: 23 I've had a StarDrive SCSI interface on my 1000 (inside the StarBoard) for some time now but can't get it to work except on commercially available and overly expensive Macintrash drives. Two cables were made, conforming to the diagram supplied with the board; neither one works with any out-of-the-box raw drives I've tried, such as the Quantum Q280, Micropolis 1275, and others.... either there is an OpenDevice failure or the system hangs when trying to mount. Yes, the raw drives were properly terminated and set with correct address information. The cables supplied with the Mac Drive were ohmed out and the connections correspond properly. ACK! What am I doing wrong? Should I just give up and spend the extra $$? Aside: Microbiotics promised to send me a diagnostic disk but has never done so. TIA.
