The ability to change the images and locations of gadgets on windows and screen in preferences. I like it. Why not also allow the user to change the mapping of mouse clicks. Case in point: Consider (when using the workbench) what you do most of the time. That right, you double click nearly everything. Open this, start that, etc.. Thus, this operation would be nice to map to a single click. Reserve double click for more arcane stuff. Now I know that most folks would say "Hey, that's incompatible!", but this is where configurability comes in. I should have the option to do it that way. Just think of this idea as a visual equivalent to the command line oriented "alias" concept. Thus I can "alias" visual features as I'd like them to be. I think X-window offers this kind of ability.
