One simple solution to just about all of the problems which have been
discussed so far on this subject would simply be to do the unthinkable...
modify the INTUITIONBASE struct and just put your own gadget structs with new
images, positions, etc.

I wrote a nifty little assembly language program which does this, and if I
ever get the incentive to write a .doc file for it, I'll post it.  It basically
reads in a file from DEVS: called "intuition.config" and set up neat things
like a 3D alt-image'd close gadget.

Needless to say, probably won't work w/ 1.4, but works quite nicely w/
1.2 & 1.3.
