I have a 512k system with 2 Apple 5.25 in. drives, an Apple 3.5 in. drive, an Apple UniDisk 3.5 in., an IBM(aargh) Proprinter and an Apple 20sc Hard drive. When I attempt to install the SCSI driver and manager on my copy of the system disk, then reboot, Everything will load as normal, then I get the message at the end of the boot sequence No room to run Finder Error=$0004. I reboot with system disk 4.0, go into the control panel, look at RAM disk, and the total of both available and in use memory add up to 511K. I only have 2 DA's active under System Disk 4.0 (Digital Black [a menubar clock] and Control Panel DA. When I reactivate Floyd Zink's Memory DA, reboot System Disk 4.0 and run Memory DA, it correctly reports that I have 512k of memory, but in-use memory and available memory only add up to 511K. I do not have any caches active. Other programmers I talked to in the office think that it is a rounding error, however, I had this problem under System disk 5.0. I can NOT add additional memory at this time due to department budget constraints (my department's budget is shot all to you-know-where right now). Do you, or anyone in AIIDTS, or on the Internet have ANY ideas? Randy Miller rs.miller@pro-harvest crash!pro-harvest!rs.miller obsolete!pro-harvest!rs.miller rs.miller@pro-harvest.cts.com
