Scott,
  First off, I don't have the cash on hand to purchase the memory (especially
when you rely on insulin injections in order to live).  Second, I don't have
ANY plastic money (nor do I want it, especially with the debt burden over my
head right now).  Finally, my supervisor knows all about the problem, and to
tell them to f*** off means a real quick trip to the unemployment office. 
The only thing I'm saying is that if Apple states in their technical specs
that their hare-brained OS works with a minimum of 512K, I EXPECT TO DO AS
SUCH!
