I know two fileservers, listserv@vm1.nodak.edu and listserv@vm.ecs.rpi.edu, which you can send requests for files. Just send a message like for example /PDGET PD:MOUSE.GIF or, if you want a directory listing, /PDDIR PD:*.arc 14 if you want to know all msdos arc files (for example) that are less than 14 days old.
