The speaker on my Zenith 161 has problems.  About a year ago it quit working
completely.  Then, it would start working again for short periods of time.
When it initially died it was subject to frequent outbursts of noise.  
Now, it produces very faint output.  What causes this?  Is the speaker going
bad, or is it something else wrong with my machine.  The computer itself
works fine.
I'd like to fix it. Do I need to simply replace the thing?
