Johnson Organization: University of California, Irvine - Dept of ICS Lines: 25 I'm currently trying my best to do some useful work on an IBM rt running AIX 2.2.1. I am using X11 as distributed by IBM. The server has lots of bugs but one in particular is a real pain. When a menu is popped up over a window, it leaves a black background in its place when it disappears. I got the latest fixes for an IBM X server from uunet.uu.net, but I can't compile them because of bugs in the C compiler under AIX. Does anyone have an executable X11 IBM RT under AIX Server which I can simply FTP over the Internet? (I'm also having lots of problems compiling alloc.c in the gemacs distribution and if this nonsense continues I think I'll just go to AOS instead. Of course, I have access to an RT running AOS and I can't compile gemacs there either for the same reason! I'm trying the "hc" compiler now and it does the same thing. Maybe the rumored RT follow-on machines will be better. Please respond to me directly since I haven't managed to get usenet setup here yet.
