I had 'options=soft' in /etc/filesystems and was losing NFS connections whenever either the client or the server were heavily loaded. It took several days for someone to tell me to try 'options= hard, intr'. Why this isn't the default [ or hard-wired ] is a mystery. I love my RT. I'd like to have one at home. But I hated NFS enough to go steal a SCSI from someone else ;-( >I don't work for marketing and don't have a desire to. ... Could have fooled me ;-) -- John F.
