I thank everyone who helped me out.  The thing was that I wasn't able to
use anyone's remedy, because, one day, it finally decided to work for me.
Oh, well, the Mac, she is like a good woman; if she weren't so difficult to
understand, she wouldn't be so interesting, and so much fun.
