This seems to be the best **expandable** data-storage system around. From what I understand, the innards of all 44-meg removables are made by SyQuest, so the vender doesn't really matter, except for warranties, right? I have seen prices for these range all the way up to $1800, but the best price I have seen is $847 for the Ehman 44-meg removable. Note that I am interested in the system purely as an expandable hard disk system, not merely for backup purposes. Questions: Does anyone have any comment on the merits of SyQuest 44-meg removables, and which brand **is** the best to buy? Are these drives very reliable? How do they compare to other hard disks? Should I buy or shouldn't I? Please post replies to comp.sys.mac or e-mail messages to robbins@owlnet.rice.edu. Thanks in advance, Tom Robbins robbins@owlnet.rice.edu note from stiv-please reply to robbins@owlnet.rice.edu, not stiv@etc. Tom can't post a note, 'cause the powers that be restrict undergraduate access.
