But... I thought that "the computer for the rest of us" meant it was easy for my old Auntie Phoebe to use a Mac: you don't have to be a techno-geek (like me :-) to understand it. I never thought it meant that a Macintosh was cheap (um, "inexpensive"). Since when was the Mac ever cheap? I'll voice no opinion here about Apple's pricing; I'm biased because my profit share helps feed the baby.
