Can someone tell me how I might be able to trap disk I/O?  I have a
program that's writing to disk, but it's not making the file it
should, so I'dlike to see what it's writing and to where.

Is it possible to set a breakpoint in MacsBug so that I can step
through the thing or something?

Any leads appreciated.
