  Does anybody have Transcript 2.1 working on their Iris4D ?
  I compiled it as if it were a bsd system, since we have bsd lpd
  running on our machines.   The ditroff I am using is version 8
  "titroff" (and "makedev"), and it seems to be producing bad input
  for the "psdit" program.   If I bring the output of ditroff over 
  to a machine with a working package, it's psdit will also crap out in
  the same place.

  psdit: can't open font table /usr/local/lib/ps/ditroff.font/Times/devpsc/.out
