If anyone has saved an archive of postings concerning experiences with
8mm tape drives on Sun3's, please send me mail to ckk@andrew.cmu.edu.

We are thinking of buying an 8mm drive to attach to a sun3/160 for
backups. This machine is serving as a fileserver for our "cell" of the
Andrew filesystem, and also backups Macintoshes in the department.

I copied the relevant postings that I found in a perusal of recent
activity on comp.sys.sun but our system's netnews feed is rather
unreliable and we miss a lot of articles.
