has anyone got code which would allow data entry in the classic style of 
sized fields in a window, placed at random locations in the window? we are
about to have to do some of this (actually a lot of data entry) (i know, i
know, do the data entry on a pc or something and then just read the file...),
and would prefer not to have to use CVV, which doesn't have the right behavior,
and which we don't wish to try to patch (obtuse code).

if the price were right, we might even be willing to buy such a piece of code.

if anyone's interested, I have another patch for DEFSYSTEM. this one fixes the
behavior of COMPILE-LOAD-INIT so that it does what you really want it to.
