When can I get color for my X appication? First off, for color support (at all!) you need to run A/UX 1.1 or newer. The "sample" X server supplied in the MIT X11/R3 tape (and available for anonymous FTP) will not support color. The X server for sale by Apple does support color and multiple screens (I'm using a MacII with a 19" mono and a 14" color screen right now). The X server to be supplied in the MIT X11/R4 distribution will support color and (I believe!) multiple displays. I am currently running a mix of Apple and MIT software (I've kept their X server and their version of twm (which handles multiple screens nicely, but they screwed up their job control, so it leaves process slots laying arround) and run many of the applications from the MIT distribution. -- "Are you lonely, are you lost?"
