The '~' was supposed to be expanded to the path in the passwd file. It doesn't get expanded so here's what you need to get the stuff. uucp adaptex!/usr/spool/uucppublic/scsiutil/list /usr/spool/uucppublic/list To obtain any of the files, replace the word 'list' in the above uucp command with the name of the file. I found two local systems that help me test this out and it works. No more beleiving what I read anymore and no more guess work. Do not use wildcards.
